Three Ingredient Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • toppings such as whipped topping, berries, & chocolate chips {optional}

Preparation

  1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, mash the banana with a fork.
  2. Add egg to bowl, and mix together.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of cocoa powder to bowl, and mix together with a spatula. You can add an additional tbsp if you like but I would start with one. 
  4. Microwave bowl for 3 minutes.
  5. Enjoy immediately! I transferred the mug cake from bowl to small plate but this isn't necessary. You can add toppings such as whipped topping, berries, chocolate chips, or it's delicious on its own 🙂
  6. You can also omit the cocoa powder to make a simple banana & egg mug cake. I eat this for breakfast almost daily!
